Tunisian Muslim volunteers in the Wehrmacht ranks.

We have come across a video clip which tells the story of Muslim volunteers in the Wehrmacht.
Hermann Maier, a Wehrmacht officer, documented the recruitment of Tunisian Arabs to the Wehrmacht with his 8mm camera.
The scenes were filmed around the city of Cartharge in Tunisia, and the narrator states that "the inclusion of Tunisians in German units is problematic as far as Tunisia is concerned. The fate of the Arab unit is unknown."

One can see the special uniforms designed for these soldiers, the red belt, and the red fez which serves in place of a helmet. The soldiers are waving the Tunisian flag alongside the Nazi flag and giving the Nazi salute.
