Son grand p&egrave;re Moreno est le fondateur de ce qui va devenir les Grands magasins Cicurel. Il est &eacute;lev&eacute; &agrave; Paris o&ugrave; il vient habiter tr&egrave;s jeune &agrave; la suite de la mort tragique de son p&egrave;re Salomon assassin&eacute; en 1927.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tC&rsquo;est &agrave; Paris que fr&eacute;quentant encore le lyc&eacute;e Janson de Sailly il commence &agrave; jouer de la trompette et ne tarde pas &agrave; rejoindre le club de jazz &laquo; Hot club de France &raquo; o&ugrave; il fait la connaissance de Django Reinhardt et St&eacute;phane Grappelli avec qui il donne des concerts. Sa s&oelig;ur Lily &eacute;pouse Pierre Mend&egrave;s France en 1933. La guerre le ram&egrave;ne en Egypte et voit se dessiner un puissant retour au juda&iuml;sme, religion de sa famille mais qui n&rsquo;est gu&egrave;re pratiqu&eacute;e par elle. Il ne cessera de creuser cette voie et, sa vie durant se consacrera &agrave; l&rsquo;approfondissement de cette spiritualit&eacute; ainsi qu&rsquo;&agrave; sa diffusion. Il est pr&eacute;sent aux tous d&eacute;buts de la fondation du mouvement des Jeunesses Loubavitch, profond&eacute;ment li&eacute; &agrave; son fondateur le Rabbin Shmouel Azimov.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tLe hassidisme des Loubavitch l&rsquo;enthousiasme. Raymond Cicurel est un homme qui &eacute;chappe aux classifications. C&rsquo;est un artiste, un homme de Dieu, un guide spirituel, un raconteur de blagues, un astrologue, un homme qui a consacr&eacute; une grande partie de sa vie &agrave; pratiquer la Tsedaka (la charit&eacute; en h&eacute;breu qui se traduit par l&rsquo;id&eacute;e de justice) dans son acception la plus haute, selon Ma&iuml;monide, tenter de rendre &agrave; quelqu&rsquo;un son autonomie, lui donner du travail. Il n&rsquo;a cess&eacute; de s&rsquo;y atteler, inlassablement, remettant les personnes qu&rsquo;il aidait sur le cheval, une fois, deux fois, cent fois s&rsquo;il le faut sans jamais perdre espoir.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tEn musique, il commence par &ecirc;tre trompettiste de jazz puis se consacre &agrave; la musique classique et suit l&rsquo;enseignement de Nadia Boulanger, il est passionn&eacute; par la musique contemporaine et travaille avec Ren&eacute; Leibowitz qui introduit la musique de 12 sons de Sch&ouml;nberg en France. Adepte du syst&egrave;me s&eacute;riel, il compose des &oelig;uvres pour piano et musique de chambre. Il a aussi &eacute;crit de nombreuses chansons de jazz. Ses inspirateurs sont aussi bien Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke que Bach, Debussy, Mademoiselle Boulanger et l&rsquo;&eacute;tonnant Monsieur Chouchani dont il dit qu&rsquo;il lui a tant apport&eacute; sur le plan du juda&iuml;sme. Cet esprit novateur d&eacute;couvre avant qu&rsquo;ils ne soient mis au go&ucirc;t du jour le jazz, les l&eacute;gumes bio, les aliments di&eacute;t&eacute;tiques, l&rsquo;hom&eacute;opathie dont il est f&eacute;ru, l&rsquo;acupuncture, l&rsquo;astrologie qu&rsquo;il exerce avec talent, le feng shui, le pouvoir des couleurs. Il a eu 5 enfants qui tous portent quelque chose de leur p&egrave;re : art, humour, sens de la communication, ferveur religieuse ou sens argumentatif. Des traits que l&rsquo;on retrouve aussi chez ses neuf (bient&ocirc;t dix !) petits-enfants. Michel et David, n&eacute;s de son premier mariage avec Rosemary Naggar, sont respectivement Pr&eacute;sident du directoire de la Banque Rothschild &agrave; Paris et PDG d&rsquo;une holding &agrave; Londres. Avec sa femme Francine, professeur &agrave; l&rsquo;universit&eacute; Paris III Sorbonne nouvelle dont il a partag&eacute; la vie pendant 40 ans, il a eu 3 enfants. Liora, tragiquement tu&eacute;e dans un accident de voiture &agrave; l&rsquo;&acirc;ge de 12 ans, aimait &eacute;crire et peindre. Jeremy qui habite &agrave; New York dirige le d&eacute;partement informatique d&rsquo;une soci&eacute;t&eacute; de conseil, joue de la guitare et chante.
