However, it is not very easy to find.\u00a0 I did not see any English\/ Hebrew\/ or Arabic labels, and no symbols on the outside that made it obvious that it was a synagogue. \u00a0From a map in the Lonely Planet, we knew we were close and asked a random person on the street if they knew where the synagogue was. \u00a0That person shouted to another person nearby who happened to have the key, guided us to the synagogue, and let us in.<\/p>\n<p> The Jewish cemetery on the other hand appears to be in a dire situation.\u00a0 The graves have all been damaged, and much of the marble tombstones are missing.\u00a0 What has happened?\u00a0 Is there a movement or group of relatives of the deceased working to restore this cemetery?<\/p>\n<p> Thanks,<\/p>\n<p> Marc Blehert \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<hr\/>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h6><\/h6>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, I recently returned from a visit to Tunisia. \u00a0I passed through the town of Le Kef and visited the Synagogue and Cemetery.
