\n\t\t\t Econostrum : "La société israélienne d’importation de fruits et légumes Agrexco a été placée en liquidation judiciaire mardi 30 août 2011 par un tribunal de Tel Aviv. Elle est détenue à 30% par l’Etat d’Israël, 57% par Plant Production and Marketing Board (contrôlé par le ministère des finances et le ministère de l’agriculture) et à 11% par Tnuvo Food Industries Ltd.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tCette liquidation devrait se ressentir en France et notamment au port de Sète qui avait investi 6 M€ dans un nouveau terminal fruitier avec un hangar réfrigéré de 15 000 m² inauguré durant l’été 2011. Agrexco devait y représenter 40% du trafic et aussi créer quelques deux cent emplois. Après avoir quitté le port de Marseille en 2009, Agrexco était implantée à Savone Vado (Italie) en attendant d’entrer dans les nouvelles installations.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tInterrogé en mai 2011 par econostrum.info, Ouzis Kouris, gérant d’Agrexco France, avait indiqué “nous sommes à Sète pour une dizaine d’années”. Selon certaines sources, un repreneur, le groupe israélien Kislev Forwarding and Custom Clearance Ltd. aurait été intéressé par les actifs d’Agrexco mais n’envisageait pas d’intégrer Sète dans sa stratégie. Le projet de Kislev incluait le licenciement de 80% des employés d’Agrexco et un recentrage des activités européennes en Grande-Bretagne. Mais, la cour de Tel Aviv a bien noté l’absence d’offre de reprise.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tUne campagne européenne de boycott d’Agrexco, répondant à l’appel du Comité national palestinien de boycott (BNC<\/span>), avait mis à mal les importations du leader israélien. En France, la Coalition contre Agrexco reprochait notamment à l’entreprise “un type de développement qui se fait au mépris des impératifs écologiques (acheminement des marchandises à des milliers de km à des coûts énergétiques et de pollution élevés)” et le fait qu’une partie des produits exportés provenait des territoires palestiniens occupés par Israël. Agrexco exportait, principalement sous la marque Carmel, des fruits, des légumes et des fleurs."<\/p>\n
