\n\tAbout The Festival<\/div>\n
\n\tFor the first time ever here in Los Angeles and in the United States we will<\/div>\n
\n\tmeet together to attend the first edition of the Tunisian Film Festival.<\/div>\n
\n\tThe story continues, it began after the Tunisian revolution, the Free Tunisia<\/div>\n
\n\tteam and friends from all over the world met around this unique idea to<\/div>\n
\n\tbring closer Tunisian cinema and culture to this great city. This particular<\/div>\n
\n\tvision centers around bringing the world closer to this already vibrant<\/div>\n
\n\tcommunity of Hollywood.<\/div>\n
\n\tConsider what was accomplished: the enthusiasm of Tunisian citizens who<\/div>\n
\n\tbrought us the “Arab Spring” and the ambitions of our friends here in<\/div>\n
\n\tAmerica lead us to put together this unique event with a starting date on<\/div>\n
\n\tJanuary 10th 2012, the week of the one year anniversary of the great<\/div>\n
\n\tTunisian uprising.<\/div>\n
\n\tThe dawn of Democracy in Tunisia after years of dictatorship will be in full<\/div>\n
\n\tdisplay with the arrival of filmmakers, artists and cultural ambassadors<\/div>\n
\n\tincluding up and coming young artists and actors some of them for the first<\/div>\n
\n\ttime here in Hollywood.<\/div>\n
\n\tThis festival will embody the freedom and diversity of Tunisian Cinema.<\/div>\n
\n\tIt will commemorate the advent of freedom and celebrate cinema free from<\/div>\n
\n\tcensorship and speak of amazing talent.<\/div>\n
\n\tThe events that shook the world and changed it forever started in Tunisia<\/div>\n
\n\tand showed us how small our planet is, from Sidibouzid, Tunisia to Occupy<\/div>\n
\n\tWall street and now Occupy LA. Boundaries are no longer relevant and<\/div>\n
\n\tsocieties are one!<\/div>\n

\n\tfreedom, justice and equal opportunities for all Tunisians. We are committed<\/div>\n
\n\tto fully supporting Tunisian democracy and human rights by promoting<\/div>\n
\n\tprinciples of tolerance and equality, fighting<\/div>\n
\n\tpoverty and reinforcing individual social and<\/div>\n
\n\teconomic rights. We believe in freedom of speech,<\/div>\n
\n\tin free exercise of beliefs for every Tunisian and in<\/div>\n
\n\tan impartial judiciary system for Tunisia independent of any political<\/div>\n

\n\tWe believe that economic prosperity and political liberty are not<\/div>\n
\n\tmutually exclusive; rather they must come together for a sustainable and<\/div>\n
