Que ce passe-t-il sur ce forum? les gentillesses, les paroles civilizees entre HARISSIENS d’ideologies diverses deviennent tellement rares que l’essence meme du site a change. Ce qui m’etonne encore plus, c’est que la virulance est encore plus prevalente chez ceux qui n’habitent meme pas au proche orient, comme si le fait d’accentuer leur amertume est un signe de solidarite: on est plus royaliste que le roi. <\/p>\n

Verifiez la liste des harissiens qui postaient des messages avant sur Harissa et comparez-la a celle d’aujourd’hui. Le nombre d’intervenants a fortement baisse, et je parle la des Tunes. <\/p>\n

On se chamaille souvent et on parle avec une haine qui non seulement ne changera absolument rien sur le terrain, mais qui laisse le lecteur avec un gout tres amere. Il y a une expression Tunisienne qui dit \u00ab\u00a0Alech nechri el ham bil flous\u00a0\u00bb= pourquoi devrais-je m’acheter des problemes, j’en ai assez comme ca et ils sont gratuits. <\/p>\n

Plusieurs d’entre vous me connaissent car j’intervenais souvent auparavant. Malheureusement, comme dans le cas d’autres harissiens, j’ai quasiment arrete de poster des messages sur Harissa, mais je lis souvent les commentaires en pensant que peut-etre il y a une lueur d’espoire. Mais ce que je constate c’est l’extremisme croissant des propos de part et d’autre. On parle de \u00ab\u00a0hijacking\u00a0\u00bb du processus de paix, moi je parle du Hijaking du site harissa. J’ai rencontre des gens extraordinaires au debut grace a harissa, mais aujourd’hui, je ne cherche meme plus a faire de nouveaux amis tant les propos de plusieurs intervenants depassent souvent la limite de la descence et frollent la haine religieuse et ethnique. Je me demande qui en sortira vivant si on mettait les gens du site d’ideologies differents dans une meme chambre. Khlet, ca sera la pagaille. <\/p>\n

Personellement, je ne cherche pas a etre d’accord avec qui que se soit, je n’ai rien a prouver, et je n’habite meme pas en Tunisie ou Israel. Je connais le terrorisme puiseque ma ville en a ete victime (J’habite a Washington). On critique, et a juste titre, l’education des enfants Palestiniens qui sont bombardes des leur tres jeune age a des caricaturisations et des descriptions pejoratives des Juifs et des Israeliens (brainwashing). Ce qui est hallucinant, c’est de lire des propos aussi inflamatoirs, ignobles, et mesquins dans le sense inverse de ceux qui sont les premiers a lutter contre la \u00ab\u00a0desinformation\u00a0\u00bb. On Tunisie on dit \u00ab\u00a0M’akhyeb Sanaati aand ghiri\u00a0\u00bb: comme je deteste mon metier (mes habitudes) chez les autres! <\/p>\n

J’en suis PRESQUE arrive a la conclusion que les Israeliens et les Palestiniens se meritent en fin de compte. Le monde avance et eux crevent sous le poids de l’ignorance, de la haine perpetuelle, du fanatisime croissant, et du refus du compromis. Quel gaspillage de resources humaines. <\/p>\n

Que cela plaise ou non, il y’en a ceux de tous les cotes qui pensent que la coexistence et le respect mutuel existe entre Juif et Arabe et qu’on peut compter sur l’autre et que l’autr ne va pas vous poignarder des que vous aurez la tete tournee. Il y a des gens qui ont du M’hass, d’autres malheureusement, ne chercherront jamais et ne sauront jamais ce que cela signifie. Cette haine projete par cetains fait mal, car elle blaisse l’ame et l’essence humaine, mais elle ne changera pas notre facons de voir les choses et n’arretera pas notre poursuite d’une paix juste et une normalisation entre ces deux peuple fatigues. <\/p>\n

And first let me tell you that the big difference between a hating jew and a hating arab is that a hating jew will not kill unlike the hating arab! So now it is official: the government of Israel has decided to assassinate Yasser Arafat. <\/p>\n

Not any more to \u00ab\u00a0exile\u00a0\u00bb. Not any more to \u00ab\u00a0expel or kill\u00a0\u00bb. Simply to \u00ab\u00a0remove\u00a0\u00bb. <\/p>\n

Of course, the intention is not to remove him to another country. Nobody seriously believes that Yasser Arafat will raise his hands and allow himself to be marched off. He and his men will be killed \u00ab\u00a0during the exchange of fire\u00a0\u00bb. This would not be the first time. <\/p>\n

Even if it was possible to expel Arafat to another country, nobody in the Israeli leadership would dream of doing so. How come? Allow him to make the rounds of Putin, Schroeder and Chirac? God forbid. So the plan is to remove him to the next world. <\/p>\n

Not immediately. The Americans forbid it. It may make Bush angry. Sharon does not want to annoy Bush. <\/p>\n

Some people comfort themselves with the thought that this is just an empty resolution. It is supposed to be implemented at a time and in a way yet to be decided. But this is wishful thinking, a dangerous comfort. The decision legitimizing his assassination is by itself a far-reaching political act. It is intended to get the Israeli and international public used to the idea. What used to sound like a crazy plot by extreme fanatics now has the air of a legitimate political process, with only the time and mode of implementation still open. <\/p>\n

Anyone familiar with Ariel Sharon can see how things will develop from now on. He will wait for his opportunity. It may come any minute, or after a week, a month, a year. He is patient. When he decides to do something, he is ready to wait, but he won’t deviate from his goal. <\/p>\n

So when will the planned assassination be carried out? When some big suicide attack will take place in Israel, one so big that an extreme reaction will be understood by the Americans, too. Or when something happens somewhere to divert world attention from our country. Or when some dramatic event, something comparable to the destruction of the Twin Towers, makes Bush furious. <\/p>\n

What will happen afterwards? <\/p>\n

Arab leaders say that there will be \u00ab\u00a0incalculable results\u00a0\u00bb. But, in truth, the results can be calculated fairly well in advance. <\/p>\n

The murder of Arafat will bring about an historic change in the relationship between Israel and the Palestinian people. Since the 1973 war, both peoples have been accepting the idea of a compromise between the two great national movements. In the Oslo agreement, after a process initiated by Yasser Arafat practically alone, the Palestinians gave up 78% of the country that was called Palestine before 1948. They agreed to set up their state in the remaining 22%. Only Arafat had the moral and political standing necessary to carry the people with him, much as Ben-Gurion was able to convince our people to accept the partition plan. <\/p>\n

Even in the sharpest crises since then, both peoples have remained steadfast in their belief that in the end there will be a compromise. <\/p>\n

The assassination of Arafat will put an end to this, perhaps forever. We shall return to the stage of \u00ab\u00a0all or nothing\u00a0\u00bb: Greater Israel or Greater Palestine, throwing the Jews into the sea or pushing the Palestinians out into the desert. <\/p>\n

The Palestinian Authority will disappear. Israel will take over all the Palestinian territories, with all the economic and human stress involved. The \u00ab\u00a0de luxe occupation\u00a0\u00bb, which allowed Israel a free hand in the territories, with the world paying the bills, will be over. <\/p>\n

Violence will reign supreme. It will be the sole language of both peoples. In Jerusalem and Ramallah, Haifa and Hebron, Tulkarm and Tel-Aviv, fear will stalk the streets. Every mother who sends her children to school will be consumed by worry until they come back. Terror on this side and on that side, an ever widening spiral of violence, automatic and incessant escalation. <\/p>\n

The earthquake will not be limited to the land between the Mediterranean and the Jordan. The whole Arab world will erupt. Arafat the shahid, the martyr, the hero, the symbol, will become an all-Arab, all-Muslim mythological figure. His name will become a battle-cry for all revolutionaries from Indonesia to Morocco, a slogan for all religious and nationalist underground organizations. <\/p>\n

The earth will tremble under the feet of all the Arab regimes. Compared to Arafat, the ultimate hero, all the kings, Emirs and presidents will look unmanly, traitors and mercenaries. If one of them falls, the Domino Effect will go into action. <\/p>\n

Bloodshed will be universal. Every Israeli target – every airplane, every group of tourists, every Israeli institution, will be in constant danger. <\/p>\n

The Americans have their reasons for vetoing the assassination. They know that the killing of Arafat will shake their position in the Arab and Muslim world to the core. The guerilla war that is becoming ever wider in Iraq will spread throughout the Arab and other Muslim countries and the world at large. Every Arab and Muslim will believe that Sharon acted with American consent and encouragement, whatever feeble verbal opposition there may have been. The fury will be directed against them. A host of new Bin Ladens will plot revenge. <\/p>\n

Doesn’t Sharon understand all this? Of course he does. The political nobodies who constitute the government may be unable to see beyond the end of their noses, just like blinkered generals, whose only solution is to kill and destroy. But Sharon knows what the consequences are likely to be – and he relishes them. <\/p>\n

Sharon wants to conclude the historic clash between Zionism and the Palestinian people with a clear-cut decision: solid Israeli control over the entire country and a situation that will compel the Palestinians to get out. Yasser Arafat is indeed the \u00ab\u00a0total obstacle\u00a0\u00bb, as defined in the government resolution, to the implementation of this design. And a period of anarchy and bloodshed would be good for its implementation. <\/p>\n

And the people of Israel? The poor, brainwashed, despairing and apathetic people does not intervene. The silent, bleeding majority behaves as if all this does not concern them and their children. They are following Sharon as the children followed the pied piper, right into the river. <\/p>\n

This thundering silence is disastrous. In order to prevent the disaster, it is our duty to break it. <\/p>\n

Le propos de ces lignes n’est pas d’entrer dans le d\u00e9bat sur le sort d’Arafat.
Certains pensent qu’il faut l’exiler alors que d’autres sugg\u00e8rent de le confiner \u00e0 Ramallah et m\u00eame souhaitent sa suppression physique. <\/p>\n

Mon intention est plut\u00f4t de rappeler aux belles \u00e2mes pr\u00eates \u00e0 verser des larmes de crocodile sur le sort d’Arafat les propos qu’il a tenu en maintes occasions sur le sort qu’il souhaiterait r\u00e9server \u00e0 Isra\u00ebl et \u00e0 son peuple. <\/p>\n

D\u00e9j\u00e0 en 1968 dans un de ses discours plein de haine et de violence il \u00e9non\u00e7ait qu’il voulait liquider Isra\u00ebl, exiler son peuple et en attendant confiner notre \u00e9tat dans un isolement politique et \u00e9conomique. <\/p>\n

Je ne citerais que quelques extraits de ce discours prononc\u00e9 par le dictateur palestinien en 1968 et repris dans un article de Ephraim Karsh de l’ universit\u00e9 de Londres publi\u00e9 dans le J\u00e9rusalem Post du 16 septembre 2003.
Je cite :\u00a0\u00bbNous devons transf\u00e9rer toutes les bases de la r\u00e9sistance, sur la rive occidentale {du Jourdain} et dans la bande de Gaza afin de permettre \u00e0 l’OLP de lancer une campagne soutenue de terrorisme qui minera la vie des citoyens, emp\u00eachera une immigration vers Isra\u00ebl et obligera les Isra\u00e9liens \u00e0 quitter Isra\u00ebl…. d\u00e9truira le tourisme… affaiblira l’ \u00e9conomie en obligeant les isra\u00e9liens \u00e0 consacrer la majeure partie de leur ressources \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du pays… Maintenir une ambiance de tension et d’anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 qui forcera les Sionistes \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser qu’il est impossible pour eux de vivre en Isra\u00ebl\u00a0\u00bb <\/p>\n

C’est ce que fait Arafat depuis dix ans, depuis son installation \u00e0 Gaza et en Jud\u00e9e Samarie. Nous forcer \u00e0 un nouvel exil et d\u00e9truire Isra\u00ebl. <\/p>\n

C’est lui m\u00eame qui le dit. <\/p>\n

Mais face aux agissements d’Arafat la conscience du monde reste muette et ne se prononce que pour le prot\u00e9ger. Cela rappelle ce fameux politicien \u00e0 qui l’on demandait comment il faisait pour avoir une conscience si nette et si pure et qui r\u00e9pondait que c’\u00e9tait chose facile :
