A chaque extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de cette avenue, d\u0092un cot\u00e9 la gare du TGM ( Tunis,Goulette,Marsa) de l\u0092autre, le CASINO, un h\u00f4tel restaurant o\u00f9 le poisson complet, le soir, et les parties de bellottes, le matin, apportaient \u00e0 cette fameuse avenue sa renomm\u00e9e estivale et une atmosph\u00e8re de f\u00eate. Moi je me contentai de mon pain et boutargue une fois tous les deux jours\u00a0:le marchand\u00a0,une planche sur deux tr\u00e9pieds, se tenait face au Casino\u00a0;les autres jours c\u0092\u00e9tait le sandwich \u0091bouskoutou au nougat\u0092. De mon balcon je pouvais apercevoir la mer\u00a0: la plage \u00e9tait \u00e0 100m de la maison. Tous les jours, avec les amis, nous avions droit \u00e0 une partie de foot ou de volley-ball sur le sable mouill\u00e9\u00a0;personnellement, j\u0092adorais l\u0092odeur de cette plage l\u0092apr\u00e8s midi\u00a0: le sable, plus frais, d\u0092une couleur ocre, d\u00e9gageait un parfum indescriptible. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>L\u00e0, nous d\u00e9gustions nos bombolonis, d\u0092autres leurs frigolos de chez B\u00e9bert\u0085. Au coucher du soleil c\u0092\u00e9tait l\u0092heure de rentrer diner. \u0091Oui Oui\u0092 nous attendait \u00e0 r\u00e9clamer son du\u00a0; avec sa robe blanche et sa barbe de p\u00e8re no\u00ebl il faisait partie de notre patrimoine\u00a0;ses amandes grill\u00e9es, ses cacahu\u00e8tes et ses glibettes blanches ont fait le tour du monde. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Le soir venu, nous nous retrouvions, connus et inconnus, au caf\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0vert\u00a0\u00bb. Nous passions la soir\u00e9e \u00e0 blaguer autour d\u0092un caf\u00e9 turc ou d\u0092un th\u00e9 \u00e0 la menthe\u00a0;de chaque cot\u00e9 de la chauss\u00e9e il y avait foule.
