Il y a un temps pour tout, un temps pour toute chose sous les cieux:

un temps pour na\u00eetre, et un temps pour mourir; un temps pour planter, et un temps pour arracher ce qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 plant\u00e9;
3.3
un temps pour tuer, et un temps pour gu\u00e9rir; un temps pour abattre, et un temps pour b\u00e2tir;
3.4
un temps pour pleurer, et un temps pour rire; un temps pour se lamenter, et un temps pour danser;

un temps pour lancer des pierres, et un temps pour ramasser des pierres; un temps pour embrasser, et un temps pour s’\u00e9loigner des embrassements;

un temps pour chercher, et un temps pour perdre; un temps pour garder, et un temps pour jeter;

un temps pour d\u00e9chirer, et un temps pour coudre; un temps pour se taire, et un temps pour parler;

un temps pour aimer, et un temps pour ha\u00efr; un temps pour la guerre, et un temps pour la paix.

Quel avantage celui qui travaille retire-t-il de sa peine?

J’ai vu \u00e0 quelle occupation Dieu soumet les fils de l’homme.

Il fait toute chose bonne en son temps; m\u00eame il a mis dans leur coeur la pens\u00e9e de l’\u00e9ternit\u00e9, bien que l’homme ne puisse pas saisir l’oeuvre que Dieu fait, du commencement jusqu’\u00e0 la fin.

J’ai reconnu qu’il n’y a de bonheur pour eux qu’\u00e0 se r\u00e9jouir et \u00e0 se donner du bien-\u00eatre pendant leur vie;

mais que, si un homme mange et boit et jouit du bien-\u00eatre au milieu de tout son travail, c’est l\u00e0 un don de Dieu.

J’ai reconnu que tout ce que Dieu fait durera toujours, qu’il n’y a rien \u00e0 y ajouter et rien \u00e0 en retrancher, et que Dieu agit ainsi afin qu’on le craigne.

Ce qui est a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9, et ce qui sera a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9, et Dieu ram\u00e8ne ce qui est pass\u00e9.

J’ai encore vu sous le soleil qu’au lieu \u00e9tabli pour juger il y a de la m\u00e9chancet\u00e9, et qu’au lieu \u00e9tabli pour la justice il y a de la m\u00e9chancet\u00e9.

J’ai dit en mon coeur: Dieu jugera le juste et le m\u00e9chant; car il y a l\u00e0 un temps pour toute chose et pour toute oeuvre.

J’ai dit en mon coeur, au sujet des fils de l’homme, que Dieu les \u00e9prouverait, et qu’eux-m\u00eames verraient qu’ils ne sont que des b\u00eates.

Car le sort des fils de l’homme et celui de la b\u00eate sont pour eux un m\u00eame sort; comme meurt l’un, ainsi meurt l’autre, ils ont tous un m\u00eame souffle, et la sup\u00e9riorit\u00e9 de l’homme sur la b\u00eate est nulle; car tout est vanit\u00e9.

Tout va dans un m\u00eame lieu; tout a \u00e9t\u00e9 fait de la poussi\u00e8re, et tout retourne \u00e0 la poussi\u00e8re.
