\n\t\tLa communauté juive en Tunisie<\/a> a réclamé dimanche sa protection par l'armée après l'arrestation de quatre Libyens et d'un policier tunisien préparant l'enlèvement d'un jeune juif tunisien pour obtenir une rançon, a déclaré le président de cette communauté à Djerba (sud). "Après l'implication d'un policier dans cette affaire, nous voulons que notre protection soit aussi assurée par l'armée", a précisé Perez Trabelsi, ajoutant que la communauté juive a "une grande confiance en l'armée".<\/p>\n

\n\t\tLa garde nationale tunisienne a découvert le 17 octobre un projet d'enlèvement d'un jeune juif à Zarzis (sud) après les aveux d'un policier tunisien recruté par quatre Libyens, selon un haut responsable policier. Le but du crime "était d'obtenir une rançon", avait indiqué la même source, assurant qu'il n'y avait aucune motivation religieuse. Le porte-parole du ministère de l'Intérieur<\/a>, Khaled Tarrouche, avait indiqué que cinq personnes avaient été arrêtées, soupçonnées de préparer "l'enlèvement d'un ou de deux juifs issus de familles aisées pour obtenir une rançon". Il n'avait cependant pas identifié les suspects.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tLa communauté juive en Tunisie s'est réduite à 1 500 âmes, contre 100 000 en 1956 avant l'indépendance de la Tunisie. Elle reste la plus importante du monde arabe. Des insultes antisémites scandées lors de manifestations en 2011-2012 par des islamistes radicaux avaient provoqué l'inquiétude de cette communauté. Le 11 avril 2002, un Tunisien avait fait exploser un camion-citerne devant la synagogue de la Ghriba à Djerba, le plus ancien lieu de culte juif enAfrique<\/a>, tuant 21 personnes, 14 touristes allemands, cinq Tunisiens et deux Français.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
