\u00abJe suis all\u00e9 voir la liste des plus grands donateurs d’Hillary Clinton et j’ai ressenti un grand malaise. Ce que je m’appr\u00eate \u00e0 \u00e9crire n’a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit, sous-entendu, ou m\u00eame chuchot\u00e9 par le rapport ou les articles concernant cette liste de noms [\u2026] Je suis troubl\u00e9. Par quoi ? Et bien, sur les neuf plus importants contributeurs \u00e0 la campagne d’Hillary Clinton, huit sont juifs. Et les cinq plus grands donateurs sont juifs\u00bb, affirme Steve Plocker, plume \u00e9minente du quotidien isra\u00e9lien Yediot Aharonot .<\/p>\n

Le journaliste est n\u00e9anmoins conscient de toucher \u00e0 une question sensible, d’autant qu’il s’adresse au public isra\u00e9lien, qui suit l’\u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle am\u00e9ricaine de tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s compte tenu des enjeux qu’elle implique pour la r\u00e9gion. \u00abA travers mon clavier, je peux sentir la col\u00e8re des lecteurs. \u00ab\u00a0Les Am\u00e9ricains juifs n’ont-ils pas le droit de contribuer \u00e0 la campagne pr\u00e9sidentielle ?\u00a0\u00bb, se demandent-ils avec d\u00e9fiance. \u00ab\u00a0Vous \u00eates un raciste, Plocker\u00a0\u00bb\u00bb, s’interroge le journaliste.<\/p>\n

Et l’int\u00e9ress\u00e9 de r\u00e9pondre aussit\u00f4t : \u00abJe ne suis pas raciste. En tant que juif, je suis fier de la richesse et de l’influence des juifs Am\u00e9ricains [\u2026] Apr\u00e8s tout, il est clair que pas un seul Am\u00e9ricain ne va affirmer qu’Hillary Clinton, en tant que pr\u00e9sident des Etats-Unis, va \u00eatre le pantin de l’argent juif qui a financ\u00e9 son \u00e9lection, pas vrai ? Dites \u00ab\u00a0C’est vrai\u00a0\u00bb et je me calmerai.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Effectivement, Steve Plocker a pu consulter les donn\u00e9es publiques concernant le financement de la campagne des candidats \u00e0 l’\u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle am\u00e9ricaine. 1,35 milliard de dollars ont \u00e9t\u00e9 collect\u00e9s par Hillary Clinton, contre 710 millions pour Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Les cinq plus grands donateurs d’Hillary Clinton, qui financent sa campagne \u00e0 hauteur de pr\u00e8s de 70 millions de dollars sont : le dirigeant de fonds d’investissement Donald Sussman (20 millions de dollars), la milliardaire Mary Kathryn Pritzker (15 millions de dollars), l’isra\u00e9lo-am\u00e9ricain Cheryl Saban (12,5 millions de dollars), le magnat de la finance George Soros (11,8 millions de dollars), et le fondateur des produits de r\u00e9gime Slim-Fast, Daniel Abraham (9,6 millions de dollars).<\/p>\n

D’autres membres \u00e9minents de la communaut\u00e9 juive am\u00e9ricaine <\/a>tels que le r\u00e9alisateur Steven Spielberg, le cr\u00e9ateur de mode Ralph Lauren ou encore le co-fondateur de Facebook Dustin Moskovitz ont g\u00e9n\u00e9reusement contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la campagne d’Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n

De fa\u00e7on plus g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, selon une \u00e9tude men\u00e9e par le site d’analyse de statistiques et de sondages 538, en septembre 2016, 95% des donateurs juifs avaient d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de soutenir la candidate d\u00e9mocrate. <\/p>\n

La relation entre la candidate d\u00e9mocrate \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidentielle et la communaut\u00e9 juive am\u00e9ricaine pro-isra\u00e9lienne, a aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9voqu\u00e9e dans l’Hexagone. Le candidat \u00e0 la primaire des R\u00e9publicains, Jean-Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Poisson, avait \u00e9t\u00e9 au centre d’une pol\u00e9mique pour avoir parl\u00e9 de la \u00absoumission d’Hillary Clinton au lobby sioniste\u00bb. Accus\u00e9 d’antis\u00e9mitisme par le Conseil repr\u00e9sentatif des institutions juives de France (CRIF), le pr\u00e9sident du Parti chr\u00e9tien-d\u00e9mocrate avait fait face \u00e0 de nombreuses attaques, dont celle de sa rivale Nathalie Kosciuko-Morizet, qui avait saisi la Haute Autorit\u00e9 de la primaire.
