\nN\u00e9 \u00e0 Paris le 29 Octobre 1925, fils d\u2019un professeur de m\u00e9tallurgie \u00e0 l’Ecole Centrale des Arts et M\u00e9tiers de Paris (lieutenant-colonel de r\u00e9serve) et d’une soeur d’Henri Smadja qui avait fond\u00e9 \u00e0 Tunis en 1936 le quotidien \u00ab\u00a0La Presse\u00a0\u00bb et devint \u00e0 la lib\u00e9ration de Paris le propri\u00e9taire et directeur du quotidien \u00ab\u00a0Combat\u00a0\u00bb. La famille Brull dont une branche \u00e9tait d\u2019origine tunisienne, vint en Tunisie en 1934, Maurice avait donc 9 ans, il fr\u00e9quenta le Lyc\u00e9e Carnot jusqu\u2019en 1939 ann\u00e9e de son retour \u00e0 Paris au Lyc\u00e9e Louis le Grand. En d\u00e9cembre 1941, son p\u00e8re fut arr\u00eat\u00e9 comme otage par les allemands. Sa m\u00e8re et sa soeur Collette avec l\u2019aide d\u2019un pr\u00eatre irlandais r\u00e9sistant d\u00e9cid\u00e8rent de le faire passer en \u00ab\u00a0zone libre\u00a0\u00bb pour rejoindre \u00e0 Tunis sa grand-m\u00e8re Smadja et sa soeur Georgette enseignante \u00e0 Tunis d\u00e9but 1942.<\/p>\n

Maurice Brull s’engagea dans la marine nationale \u00e0 Alger en 1943 et termina la guerre comme pilote dans l’a\u00e9ronavale sur un porte-avion. Apr\u00e8s la guerre, il devint \u00ab\u00a0founding Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Tel Aviv, il devint professeur \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Pensylvanie et \u00ab\u00a0founding Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Tel Aviv \u00ab\u00a0.<\/p>\n

Il fit de la recherche a\u00e9ronautique etmis au point un appareil d\u2019une tr\u00e8s grande importance industrielle : \u00ab\u00a0The Fatigue Fuse (FF\u2122) \u00a0\u00bb * . Il fit partie de l\u2019\u00e9quipe de la NASA qui mit au point le retour des satellites sur Terre.<\/p>\n

Il d\u00e9c\u00e9da pr\u00e9matur\u00e9ment aux Etats Unis en 1986.<\/p>\n

\nThe late Dr. Maurice A. Brull, a world class aeronautical and mechanical engineering scholar and founding Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Tel Aviv, first conceived of the fatigue fuse in 1982 during his tenure at the University of Pennsylvania.
\nThe Fatigue Fuse is of value in monitoring aircraft, ships, bridges, conveyor systems, … Before Dr. Brull’s invention there was no known way to monitor fatigue <\/p>\n
