{"id":62400,"date":"2019-06-13T17:16:03","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T17:16:03","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2019-06-13T17:16:03","modified_gmt":"2019-06-13T17:16:03","slug":"146-boulevard-hausmann-par-maurice-soustiel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harissa.com\/news-wp\/146-boulevard-hausmann-par-maurice-soustiel\/","title":{"rendered":"146 BOULEVARD HAUSMANN, PAR MAURICE SOUSTIEL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LECTURES DE JEAN-PIERRE ALLALI &#8211; 146 BOULEVARD HAUSMANN, PAR MAURICE SOUSTIEL<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>146 boulevard Hausmann<\/em>, par Maurice Soustiel*<\/p>\n<p>Dans ce r\u00e9cit v\u00e9ritablement autobiographique, l\u2019auteur raconte la trag\u00e9die v\u00e9cue par ses parents, par sa famille et, au-del\u00e0, par la communaut\u00e9 juive de Salonique, aux heures sombres de la Shoah, des dizaines de milliers de Juifs disparus dans les camps de la mort et dont on a, relativement, moins gard\u00e9 le souvenir.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9 en 1950, l\u2019auteur n\u2019a pas v\u00e9cu cette \u00e9poque \u00e0 laquelle ont \u00e9t\u00e9 m\u00eal\u00e9s son p\u00e8re, Joseph Soustiel, sa m\u00e8re, Ir\u00e8ne, dont la destin\u00e9e familiale m\u00e9rite \u00e0 elle seule un roman, son fr\u00e8re, Jean, n\u00e9 en 1938 et sa s\u0153ur H\u00e9l\u00e8ne, n\u00e9e en 1939. Plus tard, la famille s\u2019agrandira avec Marie-Claire (1947) et Nicole (1948).<\/p>\n<p>Il \u00e9tait une fois Joseph Soustiel, qui tenait un magasin d\u2019antiquit\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019enseigne de&nbsp;\u00ab&nbsp;Art Musulman&nbsp;\u00bb, au 146, boulevard Hausmann.<\/p>\n<p>Et il \u00e9tait une fois Ir\u00e8ne, fille unique de Berthe Esk\u00e9nazi, n\u00e9e L\u00e9ger, qui mourra tr\u00e8s jeune. D\u00e8s lors, Joseph fera la promesse d\u2019\u00eatre le tuteur l\u00e9gal d\u2019Ir\u00e8ne qui a alors dix ans et l\u2019\u00e9pousera quand elle atteindra l\u2019\u00e2ge l\u00e9gal de quinze ans et trois mois.<\/p>\n<p>Lorsque la soldatesque nazie met la main basse sur Paris et que le Statut des Juifs est instaur\u00e9, Joseph commet l\u2019erreur fatale de se d\u00e9clarer comme juif. D\u00e8s lors, c\u2019est l\u2019encha\u00eenement des catastrophes&nbsp;: un administrateur aussi rapace qu\u2019antis\u00e9mite est d\u00e9sign\u00e9&nbsp;pour g\u00e9rer la \u00ab&nbsp;Judisches Geschaft&nbsp;\u00bb, Jacques Poussin, les enqu\u00eates sur la jud\u00e9it\u00e9 des Soustiel se multiplient, assorties de pressions de toutes sortes. Sans oublier l\u2019intrusion d\u2019un m\u00e9decin obnubil\u00e9 par la notion de race&nbsp;:&nbsp;George Montandon.<\/p>\n<p>Une lueur d\u2019espoir viendra d\u2019un voisin, Emanuele Brunatto, homme d\u2019affaires italien, proche des milieux nazis, mais que sa foi chr\u00e9tienne incitera \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les Soustiel, notamment en tentant de les faire passer pour de bon Chr\u00e9tiens.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 la lib\u00e9ration, Joseph et Ir\u00e8ne retrouvent miraculeusement une cousine, Rachel. C\u2019est elle qui leur d\u00e9voilera l\u2019\u00e9tendue de la catastrophe&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Personne ne revient de la fosse des morts\u2026Notre pass\u00e9 s\u2019est effac\u00e9 tout entier&nbsp;\u00bb. Ils sont tous morts, l\u00e0-bas, \u00e0 Birkenau&nbsp;: les Soustiel, certes, mais aussi les&nbsp;Matalon et les Kounio, les Carasso et les Matarasso, les Ardity, les Errera, les Beraha, les Broudo, les Nahmias, les Rousso, les Benveniste, les Uziel, les Saporta et les Saltiel. Rien que pour ces derniers, plus de six cent cinquante d\u2019entre eux ne sont pas revenus&nbsp;!&nbsp;\u00ab&nbsp;Una desgrasia&nbsp;\u00bb, un malheur incommensurable.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Joseph Soustiel est mort en 1990 et son \u00e9pouse en 2011.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>De nombreuses illustrations et des documents originaux tr\u00e8s rares agr\u00e9mentent cet ouvrage qui constitue un t\u00e9moignage irrempla\u00e7able.<br \/>\n\u00c0 d\u00e9couvrir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jean-Pierre Allali<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(*) \u00c9ditions MED.
