Depuis sa cr\u00e9ation, la \u00ab Promenade de la Marine \u00bb a connu beaucoup de changements. Retour en photos sur les 100 ans de changements qui ont marqu\u00e9 l\u2019Avenue Habib Bourguiba.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A l\u2019origine, la \u00ab&nbsp;<strong>Promenade de la Marine&nbsp;<\/strong>\u00bb est une m\u00e9diocre esplanade boueuse en hiver et poudreuse en \u00e9t\u00e9. Mais suite \u00e0 l\u2019instauration du protectorat fran\u00e7ais en Tunisie, l\u2019avenue conna\u00eet de nombreux travaux de restauration, et se voit ajouter deux ailes ainsi qu\u2019une salle de f\u00eates. A ce moment, l\u2019Avenue de la Marine est n\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab L\u2019Avenue de la Marine \u00bb se voit progressivement devenir \u00ab<strong>&nbsp;Avenue Jules Ferry<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00bb, et d\u2019importantes constructions priv\u00e9es viennent s\u2019ajouter aux constructions publiques, telles que<strong>&nbsp;Le Colis\u00e9e<\/strong>, ou encore&nbsp;<strong>l\u2019h\u00f4tel Claridge<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En 1956, la statue de&nbsp;<strong>Jules Ferry<\/strong>&nbsp;qui \u00e9tait initialement install\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019avenue est d\u00e9boulonn\u00e9e et l&rsquo;avenue prend le nom du nouveau pr\u00e9sident&nbsp;<strong>Habib Bourguiba<\/strong>. De nouvelles constructions priv\u00e9es voient le jour telles que l&rsquo;immeuble de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 nationale d&rsquo;investissements ou les h\u00f4tels Africa et Tunisia International.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Le&nbsp;<strong>Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Municipal de Tunis<\/strong>, principal th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la capitale, \u00e9tait \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque appel\u00e9 le<strong>Casino Municipal de Tunis<\/strong>, et repr\u00e9sente l&rsquo;un des rares th\u00e9\u00e2tres de style Art Nouveau au monde. La statue du pr\u00e9sident Bourguiba y est d\u00e9tr\u00f4n\u00e9e le 11 octobre 1988 et install\u00e9e \u00e0 La Goulette, au profit d&rsquo;une horloge rectangulaire, appel\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque \u00ab&nbsp;<strong>le r\u00e9veil-matin&nbsp;<\/strong>\u00bb. Cette m\u00eame horloge fut chang\u00e9e en 2001 par une autre, plus moderne.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Au niveau de la place de l&rsquo;ind\u00e9pendance, en face de l&rsquo;actuelle ambassade de France, se trouve la Cath\u00e9drale Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, cath\u00e9drale de rite catholique construite entre 1893 et 1897.
